Lunch and Learn: Unlocking Beethoven's Fifth Symphony - A Conductor's Perspective with Ken Lam

Thursday, September 12
Starts at 12:10 PM

McLean County Museum of History
200 N. Main St, Bloomington IL 61701

Ken Lam, Music Director for Illinois Symphony Orchestra will be discussing what makes Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony probably the most recognizable work in the history of western classical music. As the ISO gets ready to present this masterpiece at our season opener on Friday October 18, Ken will share his insights on how he prepares for rehearsals to make the symphony as fresh (and shocking) as it must have sounded at its premiere, back in 1808.
