Tour of Unity Community Center Food Production and Demonstration Garden
As part of the Museum's Seeds of History initiative, the McLean County Museum of History and the University of Illinois Extension will host an insightful tour packed with practical gardening tips and techniques on Thursday, September 5 at the Unity Community Garden.
Join us to learn how to keep your garden productive, drought-tolerant, well-organized, and weed-free. Unity Garden Assistants Carissa and Molly, and Local Food Systems/Small Farms Educator Nick Frillman will lead the program. The Museum will provide information on the history of the three-sisters gardening method.

The last 10-15 minutes of each tour will be reserved for a Q&A session with the Unity Garden Staff and Local Food Systems/Small Farms Educator.
Additional Notes:
Audience: This workshop is ideal for intermediate-level gardeners, homesteaders, and backyard growers.
Attire: Please wear shoes and pants that can get dirty or wet.
Arrival: Arrive at least 5 minutes early. Park on either side of the building and walk to the back where the garden is located.
Registration: The workshop is free, but registration is required.
