Join Jeff Woodard, the Museum's Director of Marketing and Community Relations, for a program exploring Black history in McLean County, Illinois. Before the 1930s, very little of African American life and culture in McLean County had been documented. Gain insight into these fundamental missing puzzle pieces of our area's history as you discuss specific experiences of local Black and African American people. Learn the background of the Bloomington- Normal Black History Project and how to get involved. Leave class empowered by knowledge and motivated to keep listening, learning, and educating others.

This program will be held on Wednesday, October 23 at 6:00 p.m. in the Astroth Community Education Center room 2204/2205 at Heartland Community College. Registration is $35 per person and can be accessed by clicking here.
