Bring your lunch and join us for a special Election edition Lunch & Learn on Friday, October 18, from 12:10 to 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Andrew Hartman, professor of History at Illinois State University. He will offer his insights into how the national races are unfolding and what we might observe on Election Day.
In an increasingly divided political landscape, the 2024 election is shaping up to be another interesting and complex campaign, which was to be a historic rematch of the 2020 election, but was upended in July when President Joe Biden ended his campaign and endorsed Vice-President Kamala Harris. With a little over 3 weeks before the election, the question as now become will the result of the election be a second term for former President Donald Trump, or America's first female president, Vice-President Kamala Harris.
Hartman teaches courses in U.S. intellectual, cultural, and political history at ISU and has published numerous articles and several books on these topics. So, he is very familiar with the political landscape in the United States.
The Museum's Lunch & Learn series is made possible with the support of our presenting sponsor, MCK CPAs & Advisors. This series provides unique learning opportunities every second Thursday of the month over the lunch hour (12:10-1:00 p.m.) in person and live via youtube.com/mchistorymuseum.
Save the date in your calendars for the rest of the 2024 season: November 14 and December 12.
