This special event will include live entertainment, a children's area, various vendors, and mouthwatering food trucks. And the best part is, admission is completely free!

ENTERTAINMENT:
Enjoy some great entertainment throughout the afternoon! From live performances by local musicians and dancers to energetic DJs, there will be something for everyone.

CHILDREN'S AREA:
No worries if you have little ones! A dedicated children's area keeps them entertained. Games, rides, and activities are specifically designed for kids. Enjoy the festivities while they have fun.

VENDORS and FOOD TRUCKS:
Various food trucks will be on hand. Snacks and delicious culinary delights await. Desserts such as funnel cake will satisfy your sweet tooth, so leave room for dessert.

FREE ADMISSION to ZOO and PUTT-PUTT:
Miller Park Zoo and the putt-putt course will be free for Juneteenth celebrations. Enjoy some family activities and explore the park with this special offer.

APPRECIATION AWARDS:
At our Juneteenth Celebration, we are honoring three individuals for outstanding contributions. These individuals have made significant contributions to their communities and deserve recognition. We'll announce the honorees soon!

The McLean County Museum of History will also offer free admission all day on Wednesday, Juneteenth and on Saturday during the celebration between 9-5 p.m.

The Bloomington-Normal Black History Project is an affiliate organization of the Museum, dedicated to telling the stories of African Americans in McLean County. The Bloomington-Normal Black History Project (BNBHP) was founded in 1982 and its collections span the 19th and 20th centuries. The collection contains photographs, portraits, booklets, articles, and photocopies related to club organizations and churches of the local Black community. In 1989, the Black History Project was affiliated with the McLean County Historical Society, which now serves as a repository for the project's collections.
