June 6th at 5:00pm – 8:00pm

McLean County Museum of History

{ "name":"First Friday: Walk Down Memory Lane", "description":"

The Museum and its Cruisin' with Lincoln on 66 Visitors Center & Gift Shop will be open and FREE Friday, June 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. for the First Friday festivities happening in Downtown Bloomington.

This month's First Friday theme focuses on the history of downtown, and we're excited to showcase our new web-based mobile tour platform, Tourient, alongside photos from our collection highlighting downtown throughout the decades. Plus, the Heartland Jazz Orchestra will perform on the west steps of the Museum, and our friends from Strong Towns BloNo will have a table on the east steps to share information about revitalization.

The Museum will be a buzz inside and out, so stop in to check it out before exploring the rest of what the downtown restaurants and shops have to offer. And don't forget to stop by the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts for the kick-off of their First Friday Concert Series featuring Revel in Red!

Come for the history, stay for the community.
