Calling ALL Knitters and Crocheters, grab your needles and hooks, some yarn, a friend or two, and come and knit for a bit!
The Museum, in partnership with Illinois Art Station, Prairie Pride Coalition, and The Bistro are pleased to host a Knit In on World Wide Knit In Public Day on Saturday, June 14 at The Bistro.
For this Knit In, we will create squares in honor of long-term survivors of AIDS in honor of World AIDS Day. The squares created (using an Awareness Ribbon pattern) will not only remember those we have lost, the squares will also lift up those currently living with AIDS. Patterns will be provided. Some supplies (yarn, needles, and hooks) will also be available to make the squares. Any color yarn can be used for the squares as well.
Parking will be available at the Lincoln Parking Deck, located two blocks south of The Bistro on Front Street, or at the Market Street parking deck located 2 blocks west of The Bistro
