Lincoln A. Behr was born in Bloomington June 18, 1896. Behr enjoyed going to the theater as a form of entertainment. Behr and Lyle Barber, a noted pianist, were good friends and often traveled to Chicago to see plays and shows. He lived in Bloomington until 1948 when he relocated to St. Louis, Missouri. He was an employee of the Gulf, Mobile, and Ohio Railroad until he retired in 1956. He and his wife Charlotte moved to Florida where he died on January 1, 1964.
This collection contains theater and concert programs from several Bloomington theaters including the Chatterton, the Majestic, and the Castle. The collection was donated by his daughter Martha Behr Miller, a former volunteer.
