William Franklin Satterfield, called Frank, was born on October 3, 1890 at Marion, Illinois and died September 16, 1967 in Bloomington. In 1910, he married Bessie Beatrice Bolton. She was born to Cashus Marcus Bolton (1856-1931 and Rosetta Kerr Bolton (1864-1933) on March 18, l894 at Heyworth. She died on July 27, 1974 in Bloomington.
Frank and Bessie farmed near Hudson, Illinois for thirty-five years and then sold that farm and bought another near Cissna Park, Illinois. The couple had five children between 1912 and 1922, the oldest being Marie Satterfield Welch and the youngest being Phyllis Satterfield Wachob.
This collection includes three farm ledger books and some receipts plus documents regarding the auction of the farm in 1961.
