The 9/11 attacks were a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks by the Islamic group, al-Quada against the United States on the morning of Tuesday, September 11, 2001. The attack killed 2996 people, injured over 6000 people and caused about $10 billion in infrastructure and property damage, destroying the World Trade Center building and complex.
