The first meeting of what would eventually be West Twin Grove Christian Church was organized by James Robeson in the fall of 1841 at the home of Samuel Barker in the Twin Grove area, which today is Dry Grove Township. From 1841-1848 the congregation met in the homes of various members. In 1848 the first log cabin church was built. In 1864 a frame building was erected but was destroyed by in the great 11-11-11 windstorm of November 11, 1911. In 1912 a concrete block church with a basement was constructed. A new sanctuary was built adjoining the west of the block building and was dedicated on April 12, 1987.
