The Stanford school district was organized in 1869. Stanford High School dates to 1890. In 1920, area voters established Stanford Community High School. In 1946, rural schools in the area were consolidated with the grade school in Stanford. Consolidation with Minier in Tazewell County occurred in 1968. Stanford-Minier then became part of the Olympia School District in 1972. The old high school was torn down in 1980, and the lower grade school has since closed.
The collection includes the Stanford High School Record Book/Ledger from 1891/92 to 1913/14, along with commencement programs, newspaper articles, two yearbooks, and miscellaneous items.
