The McLean County Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument, dedicated in 1913, is located at Miller Park on Bloomington’s west side. The monument honors McLean County servicemen who participated in the Black Hawk, Mexican, Civil, and Spanish-American Wars, as well as the American Revolution and the War of 1812. Bloomington resident, Dwight E. Frink designed the 75 feet high, 52-ton monument which replaced a Civil War monument at Franklin Park.

The collection includes newspaper articles, a 67-page specifications book, a list of the names on the monument, and the booklet from the Memorial Day dedication on May 13, 1913.
