The Longfellow Club dates to April 6, 1882 when Miss Alice Suddeth, assisted by Miss Mae Sherwin (principal of Franklin School), invited a small group of friends to her home to consider forming a club. The collection includes club yearbooks, banquet programs, a constitution and member rosters.
