Born in Des Moines, IA, Albin B. Kron (1890-1958) came to Bloomington in 1901. Kron worked as a mail man for 37 years, largely delivering mail on Bloomington’s east side. He also operated a small truck garden at his Normal home. He and wife Florence J. Tweed reared five children.
The collection includes Kron’s handwritten route books from 1934 & 1941; letter carrier and retiree magazines; and miscellaneous material from the associations who produced the magazines.
