This small collection along with a large collection of photographs was found in the attic of a house in Normal, IL. James C. Harvey was a local businessman (ca 1900-1930).

He was affiliated with the Continental Packaging Co. and L. B. Thomas & Son prior to his partnership with Mr. Hackett in the Hackett-Harvey Company. The Hackett-Harvey Company was an early area automotive parts supplier.

His son James C. Harvey, Jr. was also associated with the Hackett-Harvey Company and served as its secretary-treasurer.

Another son Robert E. Harvey (b. 1922) was a pianist and graduated from the Illinois Wesleyan School of Music. Robert Harvey was also an amateur photographer.
