Ronald E. Cotner (1929-2009) was born and raised in Bloomington, graduating from Bloomington High School in 1948. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He married Lurleen Lindsey in 1966. Cotner worked for Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria for 28 years before retiring in 1996.
The collection includes a scrapbook, photos, documents, and booklets from Ronald Cotner’s time in the U.S. Navy; photographs and school records from Ronald’s childhood; various documents, booklets, and photographs from Ronald Cotner’s family, including his father (Claude Cotner), his mother (Marguerite Bendschneider Cotner), his sister (Carol Cotner), and some maternal relatives, etc.
