Arthur Floyd (1900-1988) was an insurance agent for the Industrial Casualty Co. In private life he served as assistant to the State Commissioner of Amateur Softball Association and as chairman of the board of the Illinois Amateur Softball Association. He was a softball announcer in Central Illinois for four decades and was a softball organizer and manager of many teams. He was inducted into the Amateur Softball Hall of Fame in 1972 for his many contributions to softball.

The collection includes game and tournament programs, team rosters, and scorecard books from 1950s to the 1980s. Also included are scrapbooks of softball photographs, softball newspaper clippings, and transportation images.
