On December 5, 1948, Santa arrived in Bloomington via the Gulf, Mobile & Ohio Railroad. From the west side passenger station he traveled east down Washington Street to the Courthouse Square. Shown here is a section of the 1100 block of West Washington Street. Today, the one-story building right behind Santa is J' soul BBQ. The two buildings to the right of it are gone.
