Photo of the Week, 90: Jack-o'-lantern Harvest in the Eisenhower Era

On October 31, 1956, The Pantagraph declared the season's pumpkin crop a record "for both quality and yield." Seen here is a mechanical harvester on the Dale Brenneman farm in rural Minier, a small community located west of Bloomington-Normal in Tazewell County.

Happy Halloween from the board, staff, volunteers and members of the McLean County Museum of History!
