This week's photo comes from the Museum's Bloomington-Normal Black History Project Collection. This “gag shot," circa 1904, shows two African-American men “floating" over downtown Bloomington. We're almost certain that's Ike Sanders (1878-1929) on the left. “Gag shots" are still popular. At the Illinois State Fair, for example, one can dress in Wild West attire and pose for a “Wanted Dead or Alive" poster. Do you have any such photos in your family photo albums?
