Lunch & Learn: Quirky Sites in Illinois

Join the McLean County Museum of History and Illinois Wesleyan University for the eighth Lunch & Learn of the 2023 season with Robert and Reenie Bradley . This free, public program will be held on April 13 at 12:10 pm in the Museum's second floor courtroom. Join us for this program to learn about strange and unusual buildings, monuments, objects, and statues located in Illinois. This program will explore the world’s largest, functioning rocking chair, a fire-breathing dragon, a fifty-foot cement mermaid, an octagonal library, and a memorial to a circus elephant struck by lightning in the middle of a town among many other usual items.
