This video features a presentation given by Museum Librarian Bill Kemp on October 7, 2025 for the Old House Society's Annual Meeting. The presentation explores the life and work of architect A. Richard Williams, an underappreciated modernist master. He was raised in Normal and later headed the School of Architecture at the University of Illinois. Williams's masterpieces in the Twin Cities include Bloomington District 87's Oakland School and the former Elizabeth Stein residence at 1008 Monroe Drive in Bloomington.
