Tick, Irving Bloomington Human Relations Commission

Irving Stanton Tick (1928-2011) was born in Bloomington, Illinois and was a 1951 graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles. Mr. Tick began his career as a runner and clerk at the Chicago Board of Trade. He returned to Bloomington in 1954 to help his father, William Tick, with the family business, Morris Tick Co. In 1969, he took over the business, which he ran for the next 30 years. He wed Joan Marie Saylor in 1957. He served on the Moses Montefiore Temple board, performed at Community Players Theatre, and was member of the Bloomington Human Relations Commission.
