The Judy Markowitz Collection primarily consists of material from Markowitz’s time as mayor, including campaign materials, emails, letters, her call log book, speeches, calendars, material from events she attended or helped organize, mayoral stationary, business cards, meeting agendas, city reports, plans and proposals for the U.S. Cellular Coliseum, and recognitions of her service in office.
It also contains some materials from before she was mayor, including transcripts of her restaurant reviews for WJBC, records from her time as alderman, materials related to the South Block controversy she voted on as an alderman, and a Judy Tours catalog. Interviews, newspaper clippings, and publications with articles about Markowitz are included in the collection, as well.
The materials date from 1980 to 2005.
