John Bagosy, Jr (1949-2016) was born in Bloomington, IL. He served from 1966 to 1972 in the U.S. Army, including two tours of duty in Vietnam as a door gunner for the 68th Assault Helicopter Company. He was awarded several medals during his tours. He then became a drill sergeant at Fort Leonard Wood, MO, until 1973. Following that, he was honorably discharged and returned to Bloomington to start his real estate career with Century 21, which lasted 25 years.

The collection includes Mr. Bagosy’s U.S. Training Center annuals from Fort Campbell, KY (1966) and Fort Leonard Wood, MO (1971); a binder donated by the Prairie Aviation Museum; and some newspaper articles and ephemera.
