Joslin, Roger and Stevie

Roger and Stevie Joslin were recognized as a couple for the 2013 History Makers Gala.

Since 1963, Roger and Stephany “Stevie” Joslin have been leaders in improving the quality of life in the Twin Cities and Central Illinois, lending their vital support to various social, cultural and educational institutions. Roger, the retired vice chairman and chief financial officer of State Farm Mutual Insurance and chairman of State Farm Fire and Casualty, has served important roles for Bloomington’s Second Presbyterian Church, BroMenn Healthcare, the Bloomington Board of Education, Western Avenue Community Center and others.

From 1991 to 1999, Stevie served as a member of the Mennonite College of Nursing Board of Trustees, playing an active role in transfer of the college to Illinois State University. Among her many honors, Stevie was named in 1995 a “Woman of Distinction” by the YWCA of McLean County. In 2000, Roger and Stevie established the permanently endowed Joslin Scholarship Fund for Mennonite College of Nursing. They have also made substantial gifts to the University of Illinois and Lincoln College.

For the past fifty years, the Joslins have exemplified the spirit of giving back to one’s community, and thus it’s no surprise that they have been listed on The Chronicle of Philanthropy’s “America’s Top Donors” list.
