Celebrate Día de Muertos with us on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 3-7 p.m. All ages are welcome to this free event featuring art, music, dance, food, and an interactive community ofrenda.

Bring a 5" x 7", or smaller, photocopy of your loved ones to add to the ofrenda - we'll provide the rest!

There will be activities on each floor of the museum, and light refreshments will be provided. Bay Area Mexicana's food truck will be set up outside of the museum with a full food menu available for purchase.

This event is truly for the community, and by the community. Marcos Mendez will play music throughout the evening. At 4 p.m., Tiyoli Velasquez will perform a traditional Mexican dance, sharing the story of Día de Muertos through calaveritas.  Miriam Padilla and Jesus Islas designed and will install a new, larger-than-life ofrenda for this year’s celebration. Lupita’s Grocery Store is supplying pan dulces. Bay Area Mexicana will have its food truck set up outside the Museum. Hannah Johnson will lead an art-making activity, and other local non-profits, such as Latinos En BloNo and The Immigration Project, will host activities on all four floors of the Museum’s historic courthouse building.
