This rare “action shot” of Santa himself was taken in Bloomington in 1953. “Clausologists” (those who study all things Santa) tell us that the big guy is demonstrating here how he not only comes down a chimney “with a bound” (per “Twas the Night Before Christmas”), but that he has now learned how do so without leaving his clothes “all tarnished with ashes and soot.”
