Mennonites have a long and rich history in this area, both in the countryside and in the Twin Cities. Seen here is the old Mennonite Church of Normal when it was located on South University Street. In January 1981, the church relocated to its present location, 805 S. Cottage Ave.This photo is undated, but the fact that University Street is unpaved tells us it goes back a few years!
