Back in the 1930s downtown was the place to go for all your holiday shopping. This snowy Depression-era scene shows the corner of Main and Jefferson streets on the northeast corner of the Courthouse (now Museum) Square. The view is looking west. Note the Salvation Army bell ringer and kettle!
