Led by high-scoring “hook shooter” Bruce Taylor (39) and rebounder Donald Biefeldt (37), the Anchor Aces finished the 1945-1946 season as the Colfax District champions before losing to Gridley in the Chenoa Regional. Anchor High closed in 1949 during the first great wave of school consolidation.
