Join us on Saturday, July 18, to celebrate the grand opening of our newest exhibit, More Than A Game: A Community History of Baseball & Softball, presented by BEER NUTS Brand Snacks & the Shirk Family.
We have a full day of FREE fun planned for people of all ages, starting at 9 a.m.
Stop by at our table on the Museum Plaza during the Downtown Bloomington Farmer's Market to test your knowledge with "Take Me Out To The Ball Game Trivia." We'll be out there until Noon with fun facts, prizes, and more information.
Then, at 2 p.m., we'll host a conversation with our curators and light refreshments. Bill Kemp and Maria Mears will share insights into exhibit development and more about the long, deep roots baseball and softball have in McLean County.
You can explore the new exhibit at any time for free between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
We’ll wrap up the day with activities on Museum Square from 6 to 8 p.m., leading up to a special Movies at the Mural screening of A League of Their Own. Bring your chairs and join us for lawn games like Home Run Ladder Toss and Dizzy Bat. We’ll also have trivia and FREE face painting by the Zoo Lady and Her Zoo Crew.
Free parking is available in several locations around Downtown Bloomington. Click here to see a map of parking options.
