Floyd Iseminger (1879-1980) was born and lived his entire life in Bloomington. He quit high school out of lack of interest in what they were teaching. He soon worked as a bicycle and automobile repairman.

An auto repair customer, banker Adolph Wochner of the German American Bank, encouraged Iseminger to open a car dealership and offered to provide financing. So, in 1905, Iseminger opened the first Ford auto dealership in McLean County at 204 E Front Street in Bloomington.

In 1915, company politics led to him losing his Ford dealership contract. He then sold Hupmobiles until 1919.
