After a hiatus from 1968 to 1974, the Bloomington-Normal Women’s Golf Association returned to play tournaments in the twin-cities’ 5 golf courses. Nina McMeekan had won every tournament the 6 previous years from 1962, Kim Stevens took the crown in 1975. Although McMeekan took the crown back in 1978, others earned the title in following years. The Pantagraph carried articles describing exciting matches and interviews along with photos as well as resulting scores The BNWGA held meetings with representatives from the golf courses in Bloomington-Normal (Country Clubs of Bloomington, Crestwick, and Lakeside, along with Highland Park, and I.S.U.).Officers were elected and minutes were kept. A constitution was drawn up on September 1 of 1990, with revisions dated February 8, 2000, June 13, 2000, and November, 2018.
