Narrative Threads workshops welcomes families with children 8 and older to participate in a quilting project in partnership with McLean County Museum of History. Children younger than 8 will require parent/caregiver assistance. Sessions will include instructions on simple stitching techniques and will encourage community dialogue through storytelling. Bring a 14x14 inch fabric square (t-shirt, blanket, sheet, drape, flag, etc) that tells your story. Quilts will be displayed at the Museum later this summer.
Narrative Threads: We Belong on Saturdays May 18 & 25 1-3PM: Tell your story of resistance and persistence through quilting. Let’s build a quilt of unity and empowerment together!
