The McLean County Genealogical Society Meeting -

Bill Kemp,McLean County Museum of History librarian, will present a program on his twelve-plus years writing the Sunday Pantagraph, “Pages from Our Past” local history column at the McLean County Genealogical Society’s meeting, in the historic Gov. Fifer Courtroom on Tuesday evening, February 20. Bill has written more than 600 original columns since the weekly feature debuted in December 2005. There have also been two book-length compilations of these columns, with Volume Two published in December 2017. Bill’s talk will include interesting stories associated with researching and writing the column. Bill will discuss how he comes up with column topics, and some of the choices and challenges he faces each week.
