Lunch and Learn: The End is Near: Waste Management in a Post-landfill World presented by Michael Brown

Thu May 11 12:10:00 2017

The McLean County landfill is expected to reach capacity and begin closure in 2017. What happens to our trash once we have no landfill? Is this a crisis for our community? Area Solid Waste Coordinator for the Ecology Action Center, Michael Brown will discuss the future of waste in McLean County.

Bring your brown bag lunch to the Museum’s series, featuring engaging and enlightening topics for discussion. Join us the second Thursday of every month from September through May for a new topic to explore and discuss. The programs are held in the Museum’s Governor Fifer Courtroom from 12:10-12:40 p.m. These programs are free and open to the public and sponsored by Illinois Wesleyan University, the McLean County Museum of History, and the Collaborative Solutions Institute.
