Normal Theater, 1967.

This photograph is undated but we know the Robert Redford-Jane Fonda romantic comedy “Barefoot in the Park” played at the Normal in late September through early October 1967. This view of the south side of the 200 block of North Street also shows (left of the theater) Washburn Flowers and Gifts, and (to the right), the Lov-Le Beauty Salon, Mary Ann Laundryette and Dry Cleaners, and, partially visible, W.B. Read & Co.
Who remembers visiting any of these places “back in the day?”
