Mystery Photos The Museum needs your help! Mystery Solved!

June 4th, 2016

These two school photographs were recently donated to the Museum. Unfortunately, other than being stamped “Camera Craft, Normal, Illinois” on the back, there is no indication as to what school or what students and teacher are shown here.If anyone can help out with identifications, please contact Museum Librarian Bill Kemp at BKemp@mchistory.org. As always, your support is most appreciated.UPDATE: Thanks so much to Mary Jennings Arbogast and her husband Dan, as well as Darlene Coleman, for helping us determine that these photographs show the Thomas Metcalf School fifth grade class, circa 1946. They also helped us identify many of the students and the teacher, Christine Thoene. Mary Jennings (this was before she was Mary Arbogast) is shown in the second photograph, front of the table, left side. The Museum really appreciates Mary, Dan, and Darlene’s assistance!
