By 1953, there were at least 10 mobile home parks with a combined 165 “trailers” in the Twin Cities. What’s known today as Greenwood Mobile Home Court is located off Veterans Parkway on the south end of Bloomington.

Commercial air service to Bloomington began on Nov. 6, 1950 with Ozark’s first flight into Bloomington Municipal Airport. Local officials were guests on the inaugural flight.

Homemade mechanical toy, 1952

Stanford resident and retired farmer Herman Glaser displayed several of his personally designed and built mechanical toys. This included a working 32-inch Ferris wheel, a merry-go-round, and a yet-to-be-completed revolving Christmas tree.
